Our Our Community club at Park House started in February 2008. We train on Thursday evenings, and have Pee Wee, Junior and Senior Squads, ranging in age from 4 to 26, Park House is a very friendly, supportive and excitable club! The Park House School Squad trains straight after school on Thursdays. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the Cheervision Office!

Well Done to All
Well done for a very successful second term of training. Good progress has been made by all squads and I hope that this was demonstrated at the end of term showing. In cheer classes we focussed on stunting over the last few weeks of term, and the Pee Wees are now able to fly their flyers to an extended prep (flyer with straight legs above the heads of the bases). Both the juniors and seniors have started single leg stunts and basket tosses and the seniors have started working on more challenging pyramids. In tumbling, flexibility has been improving and cheerleaders are learning dive rolls, cartwheels, bridges, walkovers and round offs. Several girls have been focussing on their back handsprings and it is very rewarding for us as coaches to see the determination shown by so many of the children to master these new skills – please keep it up.

Sponsored Walk
A big “thank you” to all cheerleaders and their families who took part in the sponsored walk. Although official figures won’t be in until the start of term, it looks like we raised about £500 towards the cost of purchasing mats for the club. The walk was a great social opportunity for parents and cheerleaders to get to know each other, and thanks to Denise Poernig we all had a frozen ice pole before the homeward stretch! All monies should be handed in to Paula on the first Thursday back in a clearly marked envelope.
