The High School Cheerleading squad at Burntwood School started in May 2006, and the Community Cheerleading Club launched in September 2007. The club is open to boys and girls from the local community. We have three community clubs with no upper age limit in our seniors, so parents are welcome too! The Burntwood School Squad trains straight after school on Mondays. If you are interested in joining us, please contact the Cheervision Office!

Telford Internationals 2008
Well done and congratulations to ALL cheerleaders for a fantastic competition. Both the Pee Wees and Juniors cheered with confidence and energy and I think you’ll agree that the chance to compete a second time on the Sunday demonstrated a marked progression from Saturday. Competing for us is about having a great time, working as a team and making new friends (and if you are lucky enough to place then that’s a bonus!) – so to take home a 1st, 3rd and 5th place for Burntwood School and Cheervision was superb! Many of the divisions were very close in terms of scoring and I am delighted to say that none of our teams received infractions during the competition.
The support that parents and cheerleaders gave to each other and to the High School squad was tremendous. Hearing all that noise and all those cheers at the start of each routine is a great way to start.
Our attention is now turned to the next competition - Future Cheer Winter Wonderland in Brentwood, Essex on Saturday 29th November. I am hoping that we will be able to compete with all cheerleaders, so that those cheerleaders who didn’t get to compete in Telford will have competed by the end of the year.
Yours in Good Cheer
Coach Paul
